The one pleases and delights, the other overawes and yet elevates.'- A7” CosM, AEmotions. . সৌন্দৰ্য্য অদ্ভুত রস হইতে পৃথক রস। সৌন্দৰ্য্য-সম্পূহ আমাদিগকে বিশুদ্ধ আনন্দ প্ৰদান করে, কিন্তু অদ্ভুতরস আমাদিগের মনে ভীতির সঞ্চার করে অথচ আমাদিগকে উচ্চতার দিকে লইয়া যায়।” আর প্রমাণ উদ্ধৃত করা নিম্প্রয়োজন। অদ্ভুতরস ও সৌন্দর্ঘ্যের মধ্যে প্ৰভেদ আছে ইহা একরূপ সর্ববাদিসম্মত । * এক্ষণ জিজ্ঞাস্ত এই যে ব্ৰহ্মের অনন্তত্ব প্ৰকৃত সৌন্দৰ্য্যবোধের বিরোধী কি না ?
