ইডেন হিন্দু হোষ্টেল। 237 সভায় পারিতোষিক বিতরণ করা হইত। স্তর গুরুদাস সভায় সভাপতি হইতেন। শ্রীযুক্ত গোষ্ঠবিহারী চৌধুরী (বি, এল) ঐ সন্মিলনীর প্রথম সম্পাদক ছিলেন, শাস্ত্রী মহাশয় সভাপতি ছিলেন। প্রায় ছয় বৎসর এই ভাবে চলিয়া উৎসাহশীল ছাত্রদের স্থানান্তর গমন নিবন্ধন সন্মিলনীর কার্য্য স্থগিত থাকে। আমরা তখন হিন্দুস্কুলের ছাত্র, সন্মিলনীর বার্ষিক সভায় স্তর গুরুদাসের বিদ্যাবিনয়-মণ্ডিত মূর্ত্তিও ছাত্রগণের প্রতি প্রগাঢ় স্নেহ ও উৎসাহসূচক বাণী দ্বারা আমাদের মনের মধ্যে শ্রদ্ধা ভক্তির একটা গভীর ছাপ পড়িয়া গেল, কিন্তু দুঃখের বিষয় আমাদের প্রেসিডেন্সি কলেজে অধ্যয়ন কালে সম্মিলনী লুপ্ত হইয়া গিয়াছিল, আমরা উহার পুনঃ প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য উদ্যোগী হইলাম। ১৯০৮ খৃঃ অব্দে একদিন বৈকালে আমরা স্বম্ভর গুরুদাসের বাটীতে গিয়া উপস্থিত হইলাম। কোন পরিচয় পত্র নাই, “কলেজের ছাত্র’ ছাড়া আর কোন পরিচয়ও নাই, অথচ স্তর গুরুদাসের কি আন্তরিক অমায়িকতা, মনে হইল। আমরা যেন তঁাহার কত পরিচিত, কত m. m . LSL S LLSLLSLLLLSLLSSLSLLSSLSLLS m At the above meeting Dr. Banerjee caffed upon the boarders to select from among themselves three boarders to whom he might award his annual prizes for conduct. Votes were taken by ballot. The following boarders having gained the largest number of votes were awarded the prizes which consisted of valus able books. 1. Ramani Mohan Ghose. (3rd year Class fresidency College) 2. Surendra al Ghose (1st Class Hindu Sehoold 3. Krishna Chandra Bhattacharyya (3rd year Presidency Colleged. The result was very satisfactory and highly creditable to the voters.
